The aerial photo above, taken on August 28, shows the Xiaodukou Pumping Station (the high-rise part of the building that spans the river) and its sluice gates in Xiaodukou Town, Lixian County. The Xiaodukou Pumping Station was tested for drainage on the same day. The construction of the pumping station started in October 2019. It is currently the largest of its kind in Hunan Province. The pumping station is designed to discharge a flow of 294 cubic meters per second, with six generators and an installed capacity of 20,700 kilowatts. Kai Tak Sports Park commenced operations today. Spanning 28 hectares, the project comprises three core venues: a 50,000-seat main stadium, a 10,000-seat multipurpose arena, and a 5,000-seat youth sports ground. As the city's largest integrated sports and entertainment complex, it will serve as a key venue for the 15th National Games, further bolstering Hong Kong's capacity to host major international events.
